Things you might have to teach your client

First in a series, unfortunately

Writing is not the same as layout.

Writing should not be done at the same time as layout.

When you write, use the most bare bones settings on your word processor. Save EVERYTHING to a plain text file. Stick to one justification. Avoid the use of tabs.

When writing for the web you should think headlines and soundbites unless it's a news story or a blog. Short simple statements with an active voice work better.

Pictures are better yet. But if you get pictures, have them done by someone who knows what they are doing and get SIGNED RELEASES for everyone in the picture.
