Garb

It’s time to face facts, my wardrobe needs a major overhaul. I’m not doing the Corporate Clone thing anymore.

I’m going to break my clothes into groups.

Relax - I’ll use this when I’m around the house and not accepting company. Shorts, old shirts, that sort of thing.

Tinkering - This will be when I am working around the house. It’s based on overalls. Despite my “redneck” heritage I don’t particularly like overalls, but they’ve got pockets to spare. Especially the bib which works perfectly for my iPod Touch and my cell phone. Add a Henley shirt and I am set.

Around the town - I’m taking a hint from my grandfathers, I’m going to dress to go out of the house. I’m thinking carpenter jeans, probably
these. Carpenter jeans mean I can slide my #2 tool pouch in that lower right pocket and not have all the junk on my belt. I’ll probably be switching to a web belt for every day use. My shirt will probably be a polo.

Traveling - Or as I prefer to put it, questing. Cargo pants, web belt, and vest with pockets. Maybe not a photographer’s vest or a
stage hand vest. Duluth Trading Company delivers again.

Fancy - Slacks, button-down shirts, maybe a sport coat or two. And this is where I’ll use the leather belts with the fancy buckles. This is probably about as formal as I will get from here on out.

Formal - I suppose I need a new dark suit for funerals, I’ve been putting that off for years.
